   Looking for a wonderful new addition to the family or a companion? Shih-tzus are wonderfully loving and playful. Each one has it's own distinct personality. While you are here, please sign the guest book or feel free to send an e-mail. Shop around, investigate breed standards, and be informed before falling in love with a puppy. Make sure you are informed about birth defects common to the breed you choose and insist on a guarantee that the puppy you buy is free of any birth defects and has a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian! A reputable breeder will not sell puppies with known birth defects or genetic faults. Nor will they sell you a puppy which does not meet breed standards. Make sure you are given a written promise for refund or replacement should the puppy you pick display any problem within an agreed amount of time. Ask the breeder what registry they use to register their puppies. Investigate that registry to ensure that they have a system in place to hold their breeders to a code of ethics. Inspect registration papers thoroughly before handing over your hard earned money. If the breeder does not have the papers, they may never get them! Once the breeder has your money, you may never get it back! We have heard some horror stories about unethical breeders.
